Dr. Chet McPhee provided a fitting farewell for the console during his classical program on Sunday, with the last notes of "Moonlight Sonata" being the last program aired through the old console. The on air staff broadcast from the production studio during the installation of the new board.

The project gave me opportunity to rewire the studio wiring that I had inherited from the previous engineer. The old wiring was undocumented and hard to follow, so I took the time to rewire the console wiring.

The new console made it's on air debut on 6-18-2001 at 3:30 PM. Bob Parzych (the guy always gets first dibs on the new toys) made the transition during his "Kitchen Sink of Jazz" program.
